About Credit Unions

Credit Unions are financial institutions that were founded on the philosophy of "People Helping People." A Credit Union is owned and operated by its members for the benefit of all who belong. When you join a Credit Union you become a member not a customer.

Credit Unions are non-profit institutions whose earnings are returned to the members in the form of dividends and other benefits and services. Because Credit Unions are tax exempt they generally offer lower fees and better rates. Credit Unions act as partners to promote the financial well being of its members who use their services and together achieve a better life for themselves and their families..."People Helping People"!

How to Join

Stop in our office and see one of our Member Service Representatives. You will need to show your Michigan Driver's License or State of Michigan ID card. You will also need your Social Security card. (Reminder: Please remember to bring children's social security card with you when opening children's accounts)

A $5.00 minimum deposit establishes your Regular Share (Savings) Account. This Regular Share (Savings) Account is required for access to all other services provided by the Credit Union. The $5.00 minimum deposit must remain in the account as long as you are a member of and wish to use services provided by Wexford Community Credit Union.

USA PATRIOT ACT MEMBER/CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION PRORAM COMPLIANCE

To be in compliance with the Patriot Act of 2003, please note the following important information about procedures for opening a new account or changing an existing account:

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you:  When you open or change an exiting account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you.  We may also ask to see and make copies of your driver's license or other identifying documents.
